Every year Coniacc (National Confederation of Institutions of Support and Assistance to Children and Adolescents with Cancer) promotes a movement called Golden September that happens throughout the month all over Brazil aiming to alert parents about the importance of early diagnosis in childhood cancer. F.Biz, an ad agency in Brazil, was invited to create a campaign for the movement and they reached Big Studios to produce the animation.

The idea was to tell a story of the last hair string that falls from a child’s head, and we follow that hair flying over the city only to reconnect with his owner, now recovered from his disease, at the end of the movie.

It was a very nice movie and we developed the story along with F.Biz. My role was as animator and compositor. I used Maya for the animation and this time composition was made on After Effects, as I wasn’t the only one working on it.
